as many of you know, here in our beloved city we have a monthly art walk called ‘first thursday’. it’s when many galleries, shops and some boutiques open their doors to the public for free art viewing, wining, schmoozing and more. starting next thursday (oct. 2nd) we will start participating in the first thursday art walk which will just so happen to coincide with our ‘official’ grand opening.
ok, i know what you’re all thinking. “you’ve BEEN open for almost 3 months now!”. and ok, yeah, that IS true – but so what? it will give you a chance to come down here and check out the cool art prints we have AND check out some of the new merchandise we’ve gotten in the last couple weeks. plus, what better excuse is there to socialize, sip some wine, snack on some snacky snacks and have a good time? none in my book.
the lovely artists that who will have limited edition prints available are: tim biskup, guy burwell, daniel ng, juli adams, jessica johnson, sally stevens, and moi (moi being kimmie). we have all kinds of prints scaling the walls here in the gallery. come on down, bring your friends, and bring your friend’s friends! it will be great! plus, if you come down on first thursday – you just may get a sneak peek of what we have coming up in november; beautiful, original artwork by claudia porter (who just happens to be the sweetest person ever).

Artful Goods is a new contemporary gallery and gift shop nestled in the heart of the Cultural District of downtown Portland. As a new addition to the thriving art scene, this gallery is beginning to make a bold statement by mixing a balance of highbrow and lowbrow art and merchandise.
Upon walking in to this bright and open space, you immediately see the amazing variety of merchandise and artists they have partnered with. It’s obvious what kind of image this gallery is trying to convey. Fun, hip, savvy and sophisticated, they have something here for anyone of any age and any style. They believe that the merchandise they carry should be original and unique, yet share the common thread of great design.
For their first exhibition and grand opening, Artful Goods will be showing one-of-a-kind giclee’ and serigraph prints. Featured artists include nationally known artists such as Tim Biskup, Guy Burwell and Daniel Ng. They’ll also be featuring local emerging artists like Kimmie Hutchins, Jessica Johnson and Sally Stevens. From graphic, illustrative work to traditional scenic pieces, this eclectic assemblage of work will appeal to art lovers of all kinds.
This gallery is on its way to becoming an integral part of the Portland art community. In addition to carrying a permanent rotation of prints, they’ll also be featuring original artwork for monthly showings and special events.
